Self Chec is a special non-profit that not only focuses on your well-being, but can literally help you have a healthier future. We often forget how important our health is and Self Chec reminds us to take vital steps towards a better tomorrow! We ignore small signs about our health and often hope it is nothing, but Self Chec reminds us to take a closer look at ourselves! Not only can it help us, but it can help our family and friends. It's an extraordinary organization that is dedicated to help the well-being of everyone. Let's help it grow and reminds everyone that prevention is the cure!
Self Chec has inspired me.
Self Chec reminds me that personal health not only affects the individual, but also
their loved ones. It has inspired me to become more involved with my own health and
to feel empowered in doing so. It inspires me to pass this feeling of empowerment
along to those I love and those I don't know, because it is such an essential
message.
Self Chec is a wonderful organization because it aims to help everyone; It is constantly promoting tips and tricks to keep readers and their families and friends healthy and strong. I am only 22 years old, but because of the articles posted by this organization, I know how to prevent certain diseases like cancer and diabetes that could affect me later on in life. I also have been sharing the information that I've learned through Self Chec with my parents and grandparents to keep them healthy. After learning about the little things that we can do to stay healthy, we've been committed to eating healthier and exercising more often. Self Chec is a great organization and it has helped me and my family gain the information we needed to lead healthier lives.
I wasn't aware of the various ways I can keep my health in check in the comfort of my own home and daily routines. Thanks to Self Chec, I have been leading a healthier lifestyle and it feels empowering to know that I can do this all on my own.
Most health sites are for people struggling with a disease, and so much of the
information is to eat healthy and exercise. Those are things people need to know
about at as early an age as possible--and that's the beauty of Self chec--its focus
is on prevention. Of course living the good life isn't enough to ward off every
health problem. It also details the screenings that can help find illnesses early,
not just MD tests but ones I can do at home. I've shared the site with friends and
family. It should be mandatory for everyone who wants to stay healthy and life a
long life--before you need sites about illnesses.
I really like the language and the visuals--it takes a lot of the embarrassment out
of asking, how do I do this? It's all there
Self Chec is a lifesaver - literally. As a stage 4 head and neck cancer survivor I cannot stress the importance of early detection. I was lucky - but "luck" is not enough. Please pay attention to this website and the valuable tools it offers. Self Chec is a reminder to all of us that we can take control of our health - and with early detection many cancers can be treated and/or cured. Thank you Self Check - Thank you Joan - for your wisdom, dedication and commitment to the health and well being of all......
I've been receiving Self Chec's notices for quite a while. Even through the busiest days they always remind me to stop and remember what is really important, my health and that of my family. What a great organization!
Cancer runs in my husband's family and because of that I want to know everything possible about prevention, for him and our children. My mother developed post menopausal breast cancer that was caught in stage 0 and is not considered inheritable, but I still want to be vigilant. Self Chec reminds me of how important prevention and awareness are--not just about cancer, but also the leading threats to health, diabetes, heart disease and more.
A truly great organization. We have friends who would not be healthy today without the help of Self chec. They are life savers, without exaggeration..
As a cancer survivor who required skin checks every few months, but wanted to put the "intruder" out of my mind and pretend everything was normal, the Self chec reminders were life savers. Presented in a non-threatening way, their messages, reminders and vision lent support and motivated me to take better care of myself, not only for me, but for my loved ones. Ellen Ziegler
Self chec is a lone leader on the prevention side of cancer-focused health. Centered around a healthy lifestyle that helps prevents cancer in the first place and encourages early detection to increase survivability is the closest thing we have to a cure right now. And that makes Self chec more important to those suffering today than a cure that lives in the future ever could.
Self chec’s messages about early detection and prevention of chronic diseases is so important in saving lives. Hopefully sooner than later they will have the support they need to get to everyone who has the potential to being diagnosed with a chronic disease and their dream of saving 1 million lives each year will come true.
Self Chec has the best kinds of missions: prevention. So much tragedy could be avoided if more people took the easy steps to keep cancer and disease from taking hold!
Self Chec is an amazing organization that informs us how to take care of our selves and reminds us when to take care of our selves. This worthy non-profit organization teaches people to take better care of themselves by doing regular self-checks for cancer and other chronic diseases.
Not only does Self Chec have stand for a wonderful cause - prevention of cancer and
other chronic diseases - it offers wonderful tools to the public to help realize its
goal.
Joan, the founder of Self Chec, is warm and caring but also forward thinking about
creating new tools and resources for people as we move deeper into the digital and
virtual age. I am honored to be a part of the team that created Self Chec's
inaugural hackathon to develop digital tools to help prevent breast cancer and look
forward to future hackathons which will directly address other cancers and diseases.
It takes a special person and a special organization to fully embrace this kind of
innovation and it deeply reflects Joan and Self Chec's dedication to make the world
a healthier place by empowering people to make better choices.
Self Chec is amazing company that everyone should know about. It educates people on
the prevention cancers and other chronic diseases.
I am really grateful to Joan, working hard everyday to help us be educated and save
life.
I can't say enough about the importance of Self Chec Inc. This non-profit brings forth such awareness about the importance of prevention in health. It is that little nudge we all need to put our wellness first. As the owner of a Pilates and Barre Studio, I work everyday to help people understand the importance of movement but it is that extra step, and that pro active attitude that can mean the difference between life and death. Kudos to Joan Peckolick for her work with this amazing organization and for making us all look a little deeper into our habits of daily living!
Selfchec is a non-profit who's time has come. It's message about prevention and early detection for chronic diseases is a must for people of all ages. We can all lead better lives if we go to the Selfchec site and also sign up for free monthly reminders. Don't delay. Do it now and save lives. It may be your own. Mike Drexler.
I have known Joan Peckolick (the founder of Self Chec) since we were both young teens. She has never wavered in her commitment to help people in her kind and caring way. She should be admired for her perseverance and her creativity used to create this very helpful site. It reminds people to take care of themselves and those that they care about. So many illnesses could be prevented or cured if found and treated early. I have personal experience with this in my family. Being proactive and "Self Chec-ing" has made all the difference.
Self Chec is quite a bit different than most health care sites in that it focuses
completely on prevention. It is easy to navigate and contains critical information
for users to avoid the traps that lead to major diseases and illnesses.
The site is visually appealing, which is uncommon in this sector. It presents
information in a very readable manner.
I have recommended this site to friends and and they too have enjoyed the benefits.
